Amongst a huge Nepalese population in Nepal of different castes speaking various dialects, we ‘Magars’ are renowned for our military prowess the world over. With a culture so rich and ancient, we take it as our pride to glorify our existence as one of the prominent tribes in our Nepalese community.

However, out of various reasons and motivations, today we ‘Magars’ from different corners of our nation have been landed in the United Kingdom. Here we are destined to have a share of our luck and promote our contribution towards the upliftment of our nation. As to work as a group and  to come up with fruitful results, initiatives were made by our former members to establish as association.

It was on the 27th of July 2002, the first Magar association was established with a name ‘Langali Pariwar’ at Gorkha Palace, Farnborough. In the beginning, there were only fifteen members from Aldershot, Farnborough, Camberley and Sandhurst.

Shortly, it was on a barbeque party held on the 25th of August 2002, we had a new one hundred and ten members joining us. On the very day, ten distinguished persons were nominated as committee members under the chairmanship of Mr. Tharka Rana (Magar). Henceforth, our ‘Langali Pariwar’ was renamed as ‘UK Magar Sangh (Association)’.

It is our good fortune indeed, in a foreign land where each one of us lead a very busy and a challenging lifestyles, we are yet been blessed with a warmness of our own Magar family.
